ABOUT THE JOB

Personal Development Navigators provide one-on-one guidance to individuals with disabilities as they work towards their personal goals and overall independence. Activities can range from teaching cooking skills to a young adult who lives with their parents, to providing conflict resolution between roommates, to motivating a person towards their exercise goals by going on hikes. 

This job can be part time or full time, $20-23.50/hr depending on experience and caseload.  Shifts vary between 9am-7pm at locations throughout Marin. Weekend and weekday shifts are available.  

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Full time:

  • The value of these benefits is approximately $1,650/month for full-time employees

  • Commuter stipend up to $105/month, depending on distance of commute

  • $50/month cell phone reimbursement

  • Paid time off each year:

    • Vacation accrual: 7.5 to 20 days, depending on tenure

    • Holidays: 12 days (10 company holidays, 2 you can use at any time)

    • Sick time: 48 hours

    • Bereavement and reproductive loss leave: up to 3 days for each

  • 401k and FSA plan enrollment available

  • Employee Assistance Program available

  • Mileage reimbursement for travel to work sites

Part time:

  • Commuter stipend up to $53/month, depending on distance of commute

  • $25/month cell phone reimbursement

  • Paid time off each year:

    • Holidays: up to 10 days based on regularly scheduled work hours, plus 1 day you can use at any time

    • Sick time: 40 hours

    • Bereavement and reproductive loss leave: up to 3 days for each

  • 401k enrollment available

  • Mileage reimbursement for travel to work sites

DUTIES

  • Partner with clients as they work towards their goals, such as transportation, domestic skills, socialization, financial skills, personal health and hygiene

  • Keep detailed progress notes after each session and update the client's file on the computer

  • Complete and submit all forms on time

  • Attend case conferences with clients, families and other agencies

  • Attend staff meetings to discuss current cases and brainstorm creative solutions to challenges

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic computer literacy, specifically with Gmail and Microsoft Office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Valid identification, such as Real ID, driver’s license, or passport, required. A

    background check will be conducted.
