Living skills trainers provide a wide range of assistance, from achieving major life goals like renting an apartment, to managing daily activities such as cooking healthy meals. We tailor our services to meet the needs of each individual, whether they are currently living with family or they are already living independently.
Living Skills Training
Financial Management
Managing bills and budgeting, signing up for and maintaining a bank account and benefits tracking.
Job / Volunteer Prep
Applying for Department of Rehabilitation to begin job development, or finding volunteer opportunities.
Transportation
Training on how to use public transportation or studying for a driver’s license test.
Securing Housing
Searching for and applying for housing programs or rentals, as well as finding roommates.
Cooking and Cleaning
Training in grocery shopping, healthy eating and maintaining a neat home.
Social Development

Eligibility and Contact Information
Our living skills services are ideal for individuals who want to live as independently as possible. There are a few ways a person can participate in our living skills services:
If you are a client of Golden Gate Regional Center, you can speak with your GGRC social worker to determine if living skills training is right for you.
If you want to find out if you are eligible for GGRC services, you can contact their office at (415) 446-3000.
If you are not a client of GGRC, you can pay privately for our services through our Private Case Management program.
