What's new in ICS' disability advocacy work?
All In for Equitable Care
Increasing access to behavioral health care for Spanish-speaking individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Marin County.
Since 2018, ICS has been working with disability service providers and healthcare systems to improve behavioral health care for people with intellectual/ developmental disabilities. In the last 2 years, we've been focused on improving services for people who prefer to speak Spanish.
Marin service providers who are interested in learning more are invited to attend our Resources and Referrals Workshop on October 11, 3-4:30pm. The workshop will help you and your team understand the services that are available to this population through Golden Gate Regional Center and Behavioral Health and Recovery Services.

Marin Disability Coalition
Bringing together disability services and advocacy stakeholders to identify ways we can build an accessible and inclusive Marin.
ICS partnered with Marin Center for Independent Living and Marin Aging and Disability Institute to create Marin’s first disability coalition. At the start of the coalition, we worked together to identify key issues impacting the disability community in Marin: affordable + accessible housing, disaster preparedness + response, and caregiver wages.
Now, this group meets monthly to eliminate barriers that people with disabilities experience so that we can build the accessible, inclusive Marin we all want to see.
