As many of you know, one of our main focuses this past year has been building opportunities for our clients to become leaders at ICS. Meet one of these leaders, Lucas!
While Lucas was participating in our garden job-training program, GEM, we noticed how supportive he was of his peers. So when he graduated from GEM and wanted to continue working with our organization, we jumped at the opportunity to hire him as a staff member. It's been a true pleasure to see Lucas shine as a job coach, supporting our clients as they build skills at their job, just like he did at GEM. Daniel, who is currently a GEM participant and was looking for additional work, partnered with our job developers and was hired by United Market as a courtesy clerk. Lucas is now Daniel's job coach, and here they are at the United Markets on-boarding training!
