On Thursday, April 27th, Integrated Community Services hosted Growing Community, a dinner party benefiting our garden training program, GEM.
On behalf of the 300+ individuals with disabilities that we partner with, we want to sincerely thank everyone involved for the amazing commitment and dedication we saw from our community that night. It is because of your generous support that we are able to work with people with disabilities as they build the skills they need to blossom into thriving members of our community.
A special thanks to Allie Cannington, the Youth Advisory Board Coordinator at Larkin Street Youth Services, who shared her journey of accepting her disabilities and becoming an empowered, integrated community leader.
We would also like to thank Casey for sharing his amazing story with us. Casey first came to GEM as a client and is now working at ICS as a Job Coach, helping other people with disabilities grow. You can watch his story here.
